Lilla Arrives / "Lilla" stolen!

"LILLA" STOLEN!

With a rather cruelly ironic timing, what with LILLA appearing at Woody Bay this weekend, a 7.25" gauge model of "Lilla" has been reported stolen from a model engineering society in Melton Mowbray.

See this article in the MELTON TIMES

If you see or hear anything of relevence, please contact the Police.

Lilla
steaming in the rain which greeted the arrival of the star attraction at this weekend's L&B Autumn Gala.

Thankfully the forecast for the weekend is considerably better!  Paul Lewin - General Manager of the Ffestiniog Railway  where the loco is based - was on hand to explain the quirks of the 118-year-old machine's operation to our GM Martyn Budd.

Certainly no stranger to celebrity having had the late Fred Dibnah on her footplate, this is as far south as Lilla has been since 1998 when she paid a visit to our good friends the Launceston Steam Railway.
