Due to planned Engineering Work taking place at Woody Bay Station during this day, trains will be hauled by Steam AND Diesel traction. Engines will not run around the train at each end of the line but will stay attached to the train - trains will still run as per the timetable below and will stop for around 5 minutes at Killington Lane as usual before returning to Woody Bay Station.

Summer Music on the tea garden lawn, this weekend with a Blues theme!

Today, local blues duo 'Blue Zoots' will be performing numbers inbetween trains in the lunchtime sunshine... They have a wealth of performing experience both as solo and band performers. Their repertoire is blues based but with a leaning to a more recent style acoustic, using material from J J Cale, Keb Mo, Peter Green, Eric Clapton, and John Mayall to name but a few.

For those who are Blues enthusiasts, these guys should not be missed. Make sure you find yourself a spot on the lawn by 1230, get yourself a drink or snack, then sit back and enjoy the free music!

Today, local legend Tom Conibear will be taking the stage inbetween trains in the lunchtime sunshine... Tom is a fresh sounding acoustic based singer/songwriter, experimenting in funk, blues and roots music. Continuing our summer lunchtime music on the lawn, this weekend with a slightly Folk theme...

Today, Jodie Jones will be taking to the stage over our lunchtime session. Jodie is a young singer-songwriter from Devon. At just twenty years old, she is unsigned and self-managed, yet has some impressive gigs under her belt, having supported some great artists including Van Morrison, Roy Wood, Supergrass, DJ Yoda and Midge Ure. Her song Its Like Love was also one of the BBC Talent Showcase Top Ten Winners in early 2006.

Jodie's influences include Suzanne Vega, Vanessa Carlton, Shawn Colvin and Alanis Morissette, though Jodie had always been sure about the need for her songs to be an original, honest outlet of her true feelings, rather than an imitation of whats already around.

Make sure you get a spot on the lawn by 1230, and order yourself some snacks and drinks.. then sit back and enjoy the free music!

The second day of our Folk themed weekend, with more lunchtime music on the tea lawn.

Today we have Nick Wyke & Becki Driscoll, a talented fiddle duo from North Devon. Nick and Becki play a mixture of traditional and contemporary music from the West Country and beyond, and are regularly featured on the lineup of folk festivals up and down the country.

Come to Woody Bay Station this lunchtime and get the chance to see some really great local talent in a supurb setting, for free!
