Continuing our summer lunchtime music on the lawn, this weekend with a slightly Folk theme...
Today, Jodie Jones will be taking to the stage over our lunchtime session. Jodie is a young singer-songwriter from Devon. At just twenty years old, she is unsigned and self-managed, yet has some impressive gigs under her belt, having supported some great artists including Van Morrison, Roy Wood, Supergrass, DJ Yoda and Midge Ure. Her song Its Like Love was also one of the BBC Talent Showcase Top Ten Winners in early 2006. Jodie's influences include Suzanne Vega, Vanessa Carlton, Shawn Colvin and Alanis Morissette, though Jodie had always been sure about the need for her songs to be an original, honest outlet of her true feelings, rather than an imitation of whats already around. Make sure you get a spot on the lawn by 1230, and order yourself some snacks and drinks.. then sit back and enjoy the free music! | ||||
