Steam Fayre Weekend

This year’s end of September steam weekend went very well, particularly being blessed with incredibly nice weather.

Toilet Block Progress

Aided by fine weather today, the contractors have now fitted the timber roof trusses onto the toilet block building, bringing it a step nearer completion.

New Wagon & Bogies

The workshops at Bratton Fleming have been busy recently with the regauging from 2’6" of two ex MOD bogies from the stored bogie flat wagons that the railway owns.

Coach 4 Enters Service

The fourth new passenger carriage has now entered service on the railway at Woody Bay.

New Toilet Block Underway

Work on Woody bay Station’s new toilet block is now underway with the first important step - the footings, having now been dug and filled with concrete.

Devon Action Employers Award 2008

Over the past couple of seasons the Lynton & Barnstaple Railway has been taking part in the Devon Action scheme for teenagers, centred on engineering work carried out through our workshop facility.
