We are sorry, but due to a shortage of locomotives, trains are being hauled by diesel traction.

Due to separate problems experienced with our steam locomotives, we are operating a diesel hauled service. A full steam service will resume from Friday.

Every effort will be made to ensure operation as advertised but the Lynton & Barnstaple Railway does not guarantee service or the use of steam traction. In the event of breakdown, failure or other obstruction service may be suspended or diesel traction substituted.
