500,000th passenger - October 25th!

The L&B carried its 500,000th passenger on the 13:30 train from Woody Bay Wednesday October 25th 2017

The Robson family, from near Henley-on-Thames, were the visitors to help us pass the half million mark today. Mum and Dad, plus Amy, age 7, and Craig, 12 were treated to a trip in the First Class Observation Car to mark the occasion.

It is just over 5 years since carrying the 250,000th passenger. It took us nearly 8 years to carry the first quarter million and just 5 years and 4 months for the next quarter million. Passenger numbers are steadily increasing - only another few years and it will be a million!
