Isaac on the WHR Friday 28/6/13 UPDATE

Update: 29 June:
Here is a short YouTube video of the event:

Friday 28/6/13

WHHR's loco Gelert double-headed its twin, No.3023 Isaac, on a train run in conjunction with Isaac’s owners and the F&WHR before Gelert's boiler ticket expires, and prior to Isaac's departure to the L&BR - representing further cooperation between the management's of the two railways.

The train departed from Harbour Station, with Gelert joining the train at Pen-y-Mount.

Michael Chapman Reports: The train with Gelert leading ISAAC stopped en route to Hafod-y-llyn. A hot eccentric halted proceedings for a while until it cooled and was lubricated. The train made it to Hafod-y-llyn (rather than Beddgelert as originally advised-Ed) where after some shunting the train returned to Porthmadog WHHR with ISAAC leading and Gelert bringing up the rear. Both locos and the train of FR stock are now safely at Gelert's Farm (where the loco may operate on Saturday 29/6/13-Ed).
