Justine - our latest steam visitor

The L&B's latest visiting loco, "Justine" arrived at Woody Bay on 3 October.  An 0-4-0T built by Jung in 1906, Justine is on loan from the Gloucestershire Narrow Gauge Railway Company and will provide steam traction until the arrival of  the Trusts own loco Axe. Justine will continue to understudy Axe until the loco is properly "run in". Meanwhile, our resident engine Sid requires some attention to its boiler and motion before returning to service at the beginning of the next season. Statfold, a regular at Woody Bay for a number of years, returned to Statfold Barn for their Open Day on 20 September subsequent to its being sold to another railway. Our thanks to the team at Statfold Barn and Hunslet for their continued support of the L&B.
