This weekend will be the railway’s Victorian Weekend, the Sunday also marking the 110th anniversary of the Lynton & Barnstaple. There will be plenty to see, so make sure you come!
- Trains over the weekend will be hauled by the Victorian style steam engine ‘Statfold’ both days.
- Kids will be able to get commemorative L&B 110 flags.
- The tea rooms is going Victorian on their menu, and we will also have some traditional lemonade ang ginger beer on sale outside.
- Staff and many visitors will be in Victorian costume - this includes support from Ilfracombe Victorian Celebration.
- We have a Victorian themed acting duo who will be walking about over the weekend.
- We have a large steam roller that will be in steam in front of the station over the two days - come and have a look and see how it works!
- Steam locomotive Sid is expected to be in light steam for main part of each day and will be available for photos and posing!
If you come in Victorian costume, you can get a 20% discount on your train ticket. Even if you don’t want to dress up, come anyway because it will be a great weekend with much to see and do!
