Axe’s boiler was given its first steam test last week which it passed without fault.

The locomotive is progressing well, however we currently have no money left in the Axe fund and there is still an estimated £15k of work left to fund. It will be of great help to the railway to have the locomotive completed and in service by the winter and ready for next season - we also want to make every effort to ensure the locomotive is completed for its advertised launch on 11th November this year.
