Replica advertising signs erected on down platform

Sponsored and paid for by member Dave Martin, three 'original' advertising signs have been installed and fixed onto the railings behind the down platform at Woody Bay Station. These signs are as near to the exact replicas and have been made by Jim Pounds using the latest computer artwork to match the original lettering, font sizes and colours by SW Highways Signs.

Using photos from the original railway, the "Sutton Seeds" sign has been located on the railings at its old position at the Lynton end. The "Petter Oil Engines" is nearby and the "Jennings Builders" sign is now relocated by the Woody Bay concrete running-in board. It is hoped to produce some more signs in due course but information is scarce on the content and colours of the others. Please contact the station if you are able to help with this project.
