FUNDS ARE STILL NEEDED TO COMPLETE THE REINSTATEMENT OF BRIDGES 54 & 55

The "Last Train" at Bridge No.55

Phase IIA of the reconstruction of the Lynton & Barnstaple Railway between Blackmoor Gate and Wistlandpound Reservoir requires the re-instatement and repair of two bridges, No.s 54 and 55.

A big and sincere thank-you to all donors who have contributed to the Bridge 54/55 Appeal. To date we have raised over £35,000 (not including Gift Aid re-claim) and donations still continue to be received. Grant funding boost this to circa £100,000 but we still have some way to go. This appeal aims to raise £160,000 to complete the reinstatement - some of which can be provided by Gift Aid so please sign the Gift Aid Declaration

Whilst the bridges themselves are almost complete the appeal is still open and for anyone who hasn’t contributed now is your chance. Every penny counts!

Thank-you as always for your support

Jon Pain

Detailed technical design work has been completed for both bridges and their reinstatement is part of the re-opening of a further one-mile section of the railway between Blackmoor Gate and Wistlandpound Reservoir that has been granted detailed planning permission by North Devon Council.
