The Lynton & Barnstaple Railway 1895 - 1935, by L.T. Catchpole
The first book ever written about the Lynton & Barnstaple Railway. First published in March 1936, only months after the railway closed because the author thought that the railway would fade into history and be forgotten.
Rarely out of print - the Eighth edition, published in 2005 includes several previously unseen photos and is a return to the earlier style of Oakwood productions. Edited by a well-known L&B historian it is without doubt the most well-loved book about the L&B.
Published by Oakwood Press 128 pages.
This edition is a reprint of the 8th edition.
