Chelfham site reopened Wednesday 6th February

1. Chelfham down running-inn board!

2. Chelfham Station is back open to Trust members, friends and visitors.

3. The station is open on Sundays and most Wednesdays - visitors may view the restoration progress around the station site.

4. The down platform was restored in 2015 including the wooden fence in the same style and position as when the railway was open - complete with poster boards and advertising signs.

5. This bogie open wagon, sits on a short length of track in the position of the original siding here.

6. Part of the up platform has also been restored, together with a new running-in board attached to the original SR concrete posts.

7. Today's Chelfham Station volunteers enjoy their tea-break inside the restored waiting room.

Volunteers always welcome. For non-trust members a temporary day-membership form is available. Contact Nigel Thompson for further details.

Visitors to Chelfham can also enjoy a trackbed and woodland walk ( approx 1/2 mile )  direct from the station.

Open every Sunday and most Wednesdays from 10am Free admission, (donations welcome for the restoration), limited parking at the station. Sat Nav EX31 4RP - signposted from the viaduct.
