A Happy New Year to everyone

As regular readers know, John Myhill has taken on the onerous task of arranging a programme of social visits for L&BR EAST Group members. All visits are dependent upon interest from members.

Our first event of the year is now arranged for Saturday 15th February 2020 to see Daws Hall's outstanding display of snowdrops in all their glory.

I’ll let John give you details:

Dear Member

At recent committee meetings of the East Group, it was agreed to develop a social programme when members, their families and friends can meet at various places and events.

On Saturday, 15th February 2020 arrangements have been made for a conducted tour of the private gardens and woods at Daws Hall, Lamarsh to see the display of snowdrops and other early flowers.

Lamarsh is situated on an unclassified road between Bures and Sudbury, some 2 miles from Bures. The website for the garden is http://www.dawshallnature.co.uk

The planned programme is:

Lunch at the ‘Lamarch Lion’, Bures, at 12.30pm. To book lunch call 01787-227007. Their postcode is CO8 5EP.

The conducted tour will start at 2pm.  The cost of the tour only is £7.00 per person and will only take place if there is at least twelve persons.

Please download and fill in this slip and send it together with your cheque for £7:00 (made payable to J. C. Myhill) to 13, Old Court, Long Melford, Suffolk C010 9HA to reach me no later than the 4th February

In the event of insufficient interest, or cancellation of the tour by the owners of Daws Hall, your cheque will be returned.
