Welcome to the Surrey Support Group

Established in 1991 we were the first Area Support Group to be created.

Our objectives are:

  • To promote and raise funds for the restoration of the Lynton & Barnstaple Railway by taking our L&BR Sales Stand to railway events and exhibitions. Group members are welcome to help man the sales stand, especially at venues close to where they reside.

  • Organise local meetings, social events and visits to places of interest.

Membership of the Surrey Group is available to members of the Lynton & Barnstaple Railway Trust. As a group member you will receive by email each issue of our ‘Tablet’ magazine/newsletter to keep you updated of our meetings, activities and achievements.

Please contact us if you would like to join us, you will be most welcome. To get in touch please click HERE (link sends email).

Surrey Group - A Most Excellent Meeting

Oct
29
2017

During the afternoon of 28 October 2017, members of the Surrey Support Group were treated to a most excellent presentation by Paul Gower.

Almost forty years ago Paul was one of the founder members of the Lynton & Barnstaple Railway Association. His enthusiasm and historical knowledge of the railway was plain to see as he delivered the presentation. Other Trust members and enthusiasts who get an opportunity to attend Paul’s L&BR presentation, without any hesitation we would recommend you do so.
