Surrey Group’s aim is to provide a local social platform for likeminded L&B enthusiasts by organising local meetings, social events at our base at Mizens’ Railway as well as opportunities to visit other places of interest. Many of these get-togethers are not only open to our members, family and friends but also anyone who is interested in the events themselves.

As a regular occurrence, we take our well-stocked L&BR sales stand to railway events and exhibitions throughout the year which helps to promote the Lynton & Barnstaple Railway and raise funds towards its restoration.

Please contact us if you would like to join us, you will be most welcome.

List of Surrey Group secondhand books now available

Jul

We have now produced a database of the remaining donated and bequeathed books that the Lynton and Barnstaple Surrey Group have received.

Rather than pricing these up and selling them we have decided to make them available for donations.  As a registered charity, the Lynton and Barnstaple Railway is able to claim gift-aid on donations so we felt this was a better way to increase the coffers.
