As regulars at Woody Bay will know the North Devon is a many splendoured thing and we are regularly challenged with wind and rain.
Despite a harsh Autumn and early part of the Winter our contractors have today completed the construction of our much needed carriage shelter.
Huge thanks must go to our permanent way volunteer team for undertaking the not insignificant trackwork necessary to enable the shelter project, our main contractor A&B Contractors Ltd. and Langaton the shelter manufacturer.
We have some minor works to do - finalising ballast levels to the transshipment siding (which will allow remaiining downspouts to be installed), permanant way work to the transshipment siding itself as well as relocatiing of our webcams onto the new building.
Finally, we must thank all those who have donated to this essential project, your help is genuinely appreciated and will make a huge difference to our heritage carriage fleet.
