The Lynton & Barnstaple railway welcomes anyone, with or without a railway background or skills, to join in the volunteer work and the activities of the railway.

Volunteering
We will support all volunteers and provide a safe and challenging environment in which to work and learn about all the interesting and satisfying aspects of the railway.
With the support of others more experienced, volunteers can be trained and mentored in any of the railway’s activities and functions. With the support of its volunteers the L&B will continue to flourish and grow and to be an enjoyment for future generations.
The L&B offers opportunities in railway operations, restoration, maintenance and customer care.
