Looking for something special to do with the family after Christmas? Why not treat yourselves to a festive train journey through the beautiful countryside and warm up afterwards in our cosy and welcoming tearoom!

Join us for our New Year Specials, running from 28th to 31st December, and enjoy a relaxed, cheerful day out before the year ends!

New Year Specials Dates: 28th, 29th, 30th, 31st December (New Year’s Eve).

Please be aware we will be closed on the 25^th,26^th and 27^th of December.

Train Times From Woody Bay Station to Killington Lane for both events are as followed:

10.45am - 11.30 - 12.15 - 13.30 - 14.15 - 15.00.

2-mile return journey (approximately 20 minutes)

Tearoom & Station Shop: The Tearoom will be open every running day from 10:00 till 16:00, serving a range of light refreshments including hot & cold drinks, festive cakes, warm pasties and sausage rolls, etc. Along with our Tearoom our Station Shop will be open with a range of gifts available to purchase.

Family (2 adults and up to 3 young adults ): £31.00

First Class Upgrade: Travel in style with our first-class seating, these tickets are available online or on the day from our station shop on a first come first served basis. Priced at £3.50 per person/seat, children under the age of 2 who will be sat on laps do not require to pay the supplement of £3.50.

If you do pre-booked first class please ensure to visit our station shop to check first class availability. Please be aware you have booked a seat not a compartment and may have to share with other passengers.

We have a large free carpark available at Woody Bay Station, this includes disabled parking.

Accessibility

Our trains can accommodate standard (non motorised) transit wheelchairs and our staff are always on hand to provide assistance. We have a wheelchair accessible compartment which can accommodate one wheelchair per train. With this there is access via the guards van which has a ramp available for use. Please be aware there are some size restrictions with the ramp.

Ramp size restrictions: Width 700 millimetres and weight 300 kilograms.

Buggies/Prams

We regret that due to the heritage nature of the stock and space constraints, pushchairs and buggies cannot be accommodated on trains, however there is space for them to be left at the station at the owners’ own risk.

Dogs

We are a dog friendly railway, well behaved dogs and their owners are more than welcome to attend our Santa Specials and New Year services. In addition, dogs travel FREE provided that their owners have purchased a ticket and other passengers do not object. We only ask that for reasons of hygiene dogs are not allowed in 1st Class compartments or on the seats in 3rd Class.

Location: Situated in North Devon The Old Station Inn is located on the A39/A399 Junction at Blackmoor Gate. With only being 4 miles away from Woody Bay Station makes the perfect stop off after or before your visit.

• Enjoy 20% off of all food orders! Valid between the 6th of December to the 2nds of January.

• This offer is available for customers who have purchased tickets for either a Santa Special or New year Service at the Lynton and Barnstaple Railway. Please ensure to display your ticket when placing your food order and before paying.

• The Old Station Inn is open everyday from 12(noon) with last food orders at 8pm. Please be aware we are closed all day Christmas Day.

• This offer cannot be used with any other discounts or offers.

Terms & Conditions

- Tickets are valid for the day you have booked for which can be found listed at the top of your booking.

- During busy periods you may have to wait for the next available train departure to get a seat. However we will ensure each ticket holder participates in at least one return journey. - We are unable to reserve seats for train services, places will be available on a first come first served basis.

- We would recommend arriving approximately 10/15 minutes before your train is due to depart to ensure plenty of time for collecting tickets from the Station Shop and to find a seat on the train. We do recommend checking how long it will take you to get to Woody Bay Station before travelling.

- Please be aware Santa and friends are not part of our New Year services, children gifts will only be available at our Santa Special events (selected days from the 6^th -24^th of December).

-Refund: We require 48 hours notice for cancellations to be able to offer a refund. Please be aware we will not be able to provide a refund if informed after this time period.
