Summer Saver

During our service running days between the 20th -28th of April EX & TA postcode residents travel for FREE. Sit back and enjoy a relaxing free train ride, passengers are entitled to one round trip only per person, subject to available space.

Tickets cannot be purchased in advance or online, just turn up on the day with proof of residency (a utility bill or similar) and photo ID to claim your FREE ride.

Postcode Week Running Days: 20th, 21st, 23rd, 24th, 25th, 27th and 28th of April.

Departure Train Times From Woody Bay Station to Killington Lane: 10.45 – 11.30 – 12.15 – 13.30 – 14.15 – 15.00 – 16.00.

2 mile return journey (approximately 20 minutes)

 

The Tearoom will be open every running day from 10:00 till 16:00, serving a range of light refreshments including hot & cold drinks, sandwiches, warm pasties and sausage rolls, cakes and cream teas.

Along with our Tearoom our Station Shop will be open with a range of gifts and souvenirs available to purchase.

Terms & Conditions

- To benefit from free standard travel during our postcode week passengers are require to bring along and present proof of their address. This can be a utility bill, drivers license or something similar, please ensure to bring along a form of photo ID. One piece of proof and ID are required per group.

- Free tickets cannot pre-booked, they will be available on the day from our station shop.

- During our Postcode Week kids under the age of 14 years will still travel for free.

-  This offer doesn’t include the first class upgrade. First class upgrades will be available on the day from our station shop for the £3.50 per return trip, per passenger (kids under the age of 14 travel free. Please be aware first class seating is very limited and available on a first come first served basis.

- During busy periods you may have to wait for the next available train departure to get a seat.

- We are unable to reserve seats, places will be available on a first come first served basis.

- Buggies/Prams: We regret that due to space constraints, pushchairs and buggies cannot be accommodated on trains, however there is space for them to be left at the station at the owners’ own risk.

- Dogs: We are a dog friendly railway, well behaved dogs and their owners are more than welcome to visit the station and travel on the train. Dogs travel FREE provided that their owners have purchased a ticket and other passengers do not object. Please be aware dogs are not allowed in our 1st class compartments.
