Built by Hunslet Locomotive Hire Ltd in 1996, 001 is an exact copy of a Jenbacher Type DH25 that was built under licence by Hunslet Engine Co. at Leeds.
During 1997 it underwent trials on the Abbey Light Railway in Leeds. Later in the year it returned the HLH yard at Killamarsh. When HLH went into reeceivership in 1999 the loco became the property of sam Ward, who then sold it to Alan Keef in 2004.
After a period in private ownership in Devon, the loco was purchased by a group of L&B working volunteers for use at Woody Bay.
