Rowley Moor Farm – New access road completed

Construction of our new access road is now complete. Grass is starting to grow on the newly created verge after the Devon hedge was moved back to provide clear visibility of traffic on the A39. The hedge has survived being translocated and new leaves are growing.

This is a private road, and it is secured by a substantial pair of locked galvanised steel gates. Access is not generally permitted without prior authorisation from the General Manager.

The old stable, adjoining the garage of Rowley Moor House, is to be converted to provide an affordable local needs dwelling for railway staff. This is the building, with solar panels on the roof, located at the end of the road in the photograph.

Work on the conversion is due to commence later this year when a building contractor has been appointed.
