We are looking for volunteers for this event - in particular to fill the car park rotas. Our recent planning applications have generated increased interest in the railway and the car park marshals are often the first railway members that our visitors meet so will need to be welcoming as well as informative. We operate a system of shifts of which there are 36 slots over the two days - we have several of these filled, but as always need more
An historic railway has launched the next phase in its ambitious plans to fully restore a world famous British heritage attraction.
The Lynton and Barnstaple Railway Trust is in the process of fully restoring nineteen miles of track through breathtaking scenery in North Devon. This railway won world renown when operating, indeed many believe it should never have been closed in 1935.
