L&BR Trust Member David Cameron has some thoughts regarding fundraising:
Two questions: 1.) Do you have access to the internet? and 2.) Do you ever shop on line?
If the answers to the above are both ‘No’, then please feel free to stop reading at this point and move on to the next article. If however your answers are ‘Yes’, then a third question should be asked:- ‘How would you like to raise funds for the L&B Trust – but at NO COST TO YOU?’
Not quite as exciting as a new carriage but just as essential in the grand scheme of things.
Our General Manager Martyn Budd recently persuaded us that we needed a log grabber - as the lifting and moving of tree trunks by hand is not something to be undertaken lightly (no pun intended) being hard, slow and physically demanding.
With the recent passing of one of our Timeshare holders, a timeshare week has come available at Rowley Moor. The house is very popular, offering all mod cons and able to accomodate up to 8 persons. If interested please contact me either by email or by calling 01598-763841.
An historic railway has launched the next phase in its ambitious plans to fully restore a world famous British heritage attraction.
The Lynton and Barnstaple Railway Trust is in the process of fully restoring nineteen miles of track through breathtaking scenery in North Devon. This railway won world renown when operating, indeed many believe it should never have been closed in 1935.

Naturally, we were all delighted that it would be based on the Lynton and Barnstaple Railway Manning Wardle 2-6-2Ts.
