With the planning application almost ready for submission our GM Martyn Budd has once again been looking at the future signalling needs of the L&B. Yet more prototypical signalling equipment has come Martyn's way, including a large lever frame, lattice signal, ground signals, signal lamps, oil lamps and sundry signal-related items.

Volunteers Winter Work Weekend 28th-30th November

Friday – Following recent hedge laying on our land at Rowley Cross there is a significant amount of material to be collected and burnt in the field adjoining our land. Parking at the Picnic Site.

Saturday & Sunday – We will be returning to Caffyns to continue the fencing work started last winter. Parking at the site of Caffyns Halt.

Hot drinks will be provided on site over the three days.

Judy Williams, our Catering Manager has kindly offered to provide us with a hot lunch on Saturday.

Dulverton School visits Woody Bay

As the Year 2 children (6/7 year olds) attending All Saints C of E School, Dulverton are about to embark on a mini-project about trains, Head of Teaching and Learning Carly Hatch arranged a visit to Woody Bay.

On Wednesday 12th November, the children and their teachers duly arrived for a ride on the 10.45am train followed by a talk from Dave Tooke. A good time was had by all.
