We are are looking for a part-time Commercial Assistant to work at Woody Bay Station. Dealing with the public, whilst working alongside railway volunteers.

Duties to include processing commercial transactions associated with the on-line shop orders and shop sales. Post is three-days per week flexi-time. Post is not seasonal but permanent. Candidates will be required to use e-mail, spreadsheets and to operate an electronic till, including cashing up etc. Training will be provided as required. Own transport essential.

PRESS RELEASE BEGINS

An historic railway has launched the next phase in its ambitious plans to fully restore a world famous British heritage attraction.

The Lynton and Barnstaple Railway Trust is in the process of fully restoring nineteen miles of track through breathtaking scenery in North Devon. This railway won world renown when operating, indeed many believe it should never have been closed in 1935.

LATEST - Escape to Woody Bay

The BBC2 programme Escape to the Country was being filmed in North Devon last week.

For those who don't know, it's a property programme with potential purchasers being shown around three different properties they might like. The programme also features a local attraction, which is why they came to Woody Bay last Friday 8th July.
