Service Update: 15th & 16th of August

In light of the Emergency Alert issued by the UK government this evening we have taken the precautionary decision NOT to run steam trains from Woody Bay Station on Saturday 15th & Sunday 16th August 2026.  We will instead be operating diesel services hauled by our heritage diesel locomotive Pilton.

Being located on Exmoor we have a responsibility to our neighbours and moorland.  As such we will be running a limited diesel service so visitors can still enjoy Woody Bay Station, it’s facilities and the stunning views of Exmoor.

Train services from Woody Bay Station will run at:

10:45 • 12:15 • 13:30 • 14:30

Our Tearoom and Station Shop will be open from 10:00 to 15:00.

We will ensure to keep both our website and social media updated regarding next week taking account of official advice.

We’d like to thank our visitors for their understanding of this decision.
