Santa and his cheerful elves will be spreading Christmas cheer at Woody Bay Station on the following dates:
December 7th, 13th, 14th, 20th, 21st, 22nd, 23rd, and 24th — right up to the big day!
Come along and meet Santa in person, enjoy the twinkling lights, and take in the magical atmosphere of Woody Bay Station, beautifully decorated for the season.
Pre-booking is recommended to avoid disappointment.

The following train times will be available from Woody Bay Station to Killington Lane return on all days of this event.
10.45am - 11.30 - 12.15 - 13.30 - 14.15 - 15.00.
2 mile return journey (approximately 20 minutes experience)
On the 23rd and 24th of December we will be running an extra 16:00 train, but only on these two days.
What’s included in your ticket
- Meet Santa and friends who will be greeting all the children.
- Each child receives a present and sticker from Santa! (Present includes an eric Leslie coloring book ,pencils and a small surprise gift!)
- A festive train ride in Christmas-themed carriages, specially decorated for the season. Enjoy a 2-mile round trip, lasting approximately 20 minutes!
- Our ever so popular Dear Santa Christmas activity sheet will be back. Make sure to post your letter to Santa via our festive post box!
- Enjoy 20% off of your food bill at The Old Station Inn Pub (only a 4 mile drive from the station) when you show your Santa Special or New Year ticket from the Lynton & Barnstaple Railway – Scroll further down for details!

Why not pre-book a tasty hot chocolate and mince pie, gingerbread man or cookie (gluten free option available). These can be collected on the day from our tea-room.

First Class Upgrade
Upgrade on the day and travel in style and comfort in one of our 1st class compartments. You can purchase your upgrade on the day from our Station shop. This available on a first come first serve basis and cannot be pre-booked.
£3.50 per person (valid for one return trip)
Tearoom & Station Shop
The Tearoom will be open every running day for both events from 10:00 till 16:00, serving a range of light refreshments including hot & cold drinks, festive cakes, warm pasties and sausage rolls, etc.
Along with our Tearoom our Station Shop will be open with a range of gifts available to purchase.

We have a large free carpark available at Woody Bay Station, this includes disabled parking.

Buggies/Prams
We regret that due to the heritage nature of the stock and space constraints, pushchairs and buggies cannot be accommodated on trains, however there is space for them to be left at the station at the owners’ own risk.
Dogs
We are a dog friendly railway, well behaved dogs and their owners are more than welcome to attend our Santa Specials and New Year services. In addition, dogs travel FREE provided that their owners have purchased a ticket and other passengers do not object. We only ask that for reasons of hygiene dogs are not allowed in 1st Class compartments or on the seats in 3rd Class.
