Carriage Report

Carriage No. 9 is slowly emerging from amongst the various stacks of wood and fittings at the East Group’s workshop. This carriage is an Open Centre Third to the same design as carriage No.7 already in operation at the railway.

Recent donations to assist the work include £11k. to cover the cost of the wood for the carriage sides and the glazing, as well as brass screws from various members. Funds are still required for the steel panels (£2.5k) and paint (£600).
