Charles Summers BEM

Charles Summers has been awarded the BEM (British Empire Medal) in the King’s Birthday Honours List. This is noted as having been awarded “For Services to Heritage”, specifically relating to his work with the L&B Trust in recreating our Heritage Carriages.
As Charles himself has stated: “I look on it as a recognition for everybody who has helped with our work on Carriages over the years and not just me, who started it all!”
No doubt we can look forward to seeing the BEM displayed on the Station Master’s uniform in the near future!
