June 2025 Carriage Report

Whilst the arrival of carriage No.7 for repairs is awaited, work continues on the body of Van 23.
The side frames, ends, cant rails and curved roof beams are being worked on (see photos). All this is a temporary piece of construction as dismantling will be required to before all the parts can be erected on the new steel underframe, when delivered.
The original floor boards and side planking can just be seen in one of the photos.
