Prototype Hunslet No.1 outshopped in new livery

The L&BR 'Paint Shop Boys' have excelled themeslves once again with the outshopping of prototype Hunslet No. 1 in its stunning Great Eastern Blue livery with red lining.

Privately owned by three Woody Bay volunteers No.1 is already proving its worth undertaking regular shunting duties and has settled into its new home very well.

Originally built by Hunslet Locomotive Hire Ltd in 1996, 001 is an exact copy of a Jenbacher Type DH25 that was built under licence by Hunslet Engine Co. at Leeds.
