Work Activity 20th/22nd June 2023.

22nd June 2023. Much of the work undertaken by the Tuesday and Thursday Gangs this week was at the Rowley Cross picnic area, where the track bed was heavily overgrown, making access difficult. Additionally, surface water drainage from the A39 over time had deposited silt and debris in the gulley leading to the culvert underneath the track bed, with the potential to cause issues with the railway embankment due to flooding. All material was removed and the gulley cleared. The picnic area was also cleared of vegetation.
