This weekend will see us return to the trackbed between Parracombe Lane and Fairview/Churchtown Lane Bridge.

The plan is to clear the remaining scrub and rhododendron at the Parracombe Lane end of the site and to repair and re-instate the fence runs between the Cricket Field Lane crossing and Fairview.

Woody Bay Miniature Railway – 7¼ inch gauge Required!

Jan
09

The miniature railway at Woody Bay is rightly-regarded as a useful “extra attraction” for our visitors, but we have not been able to operate it on a regular basis, mainly due to a lack of sufficient steam loco volunteers. However, if we had either a battery or internal combustion locomotive, we should be able to operate this railway more often.
